Daren Lauchengco is a freelance illustrator who has been struggling with depression since age 16. Now, 39 years, married with 2 boys, he is currently going through treatment for Bipolar Disorder, an illness diagnosed not until recently.Daren's works represent his journey through his personal struggle at the most darkest period in his life.It is, put simply, his visual journal.Through his works, the artist hopes to shed some positive light on mental health and the importance for early treatment of depressive disorders.

Daren’s art-work has been featured in several newspapers and print publications. He has also been interviewed in Channel News Asia’s documentary show ‘Get Real’ for his condition.
